Return, Refund & Exchange Policy

At Muslin Tales, we take great pride in creating high-quality, comfortable, and safe muslin products for little ones. We want you to love what you order, but if something isn’t quite right, our Return, Refund & Exchange Policy ensures a smooth and transparent experience — fully compliant with Indian e-commerce laws.

Eligibility for Returns & Exchanges

You can request a return or exchange under the following conditions:

  • The request is raised within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • The product is unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in its original packaging with all labels and tags intact.
  • The product is being returned or exchanged due to:
    • A manufacturing defect or damage.
    • The wrong product, size, or design received.
    • A genuine quality concern.

Please note: For hygiene reasons, certain products such as bibs, washcloths, nappies, or items marked “Non-returnable” are not eligible for return or exchange unless received damaged or defective.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

To initiate a request, please email muslintales@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with the following details:

  • Your order ID
  • Product name and size
  • Reason for return / exchange
  • Clear images of the product and packaging

Our customer care team will verify your request within 2–3 working days and provide the pick-up or self-ship instructions.

Return Pick-Up & Self-Shipping

  • If eligible, a reverse pick-up will be arranged at your address within 3–5 working days (for serviceable pin codes).
  • Please pack the product securely in its original packaging to prevent transit damage.
  • For non-serviceable pin codes, you may be asked to self-ship the parcel to our return address. If your return is approved, courier charges will be reimbursed (up to a reasonable limit).

Exchange Process

  • Once the returned item passes quality inspection, we will dispatch the replacement product within 5–7 working days, subject to stock availability.
  • If the requested size or product is unavailable, a refund will be processed instead.
  • Exchanges are permitted once per order. Subsequent requests for the same order will be treated as a return and refund.
  • If the exchange is due to a defect or our error, we will bear all shipping costs. Otherwise, one-way shipping may be charged for the new item.

Refund Process

Once your returned item is received and verified:

  • Refunds are initiated within 5–7 business days after quality check approval.
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method (for prepaid orders).
  • For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, refunds are issued via bank transfer. We will request your account details securely.
  • Depending on your bank or payment provider, the refunded amount may reflect in your account within 2–4 additional business days.

Note: Original shipping or COD fees (if any) are non-refundable, except where the return is due to a defective, damaged, or wrong product.

Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items

The following are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

  • Items marked “Final Sale”, “Non-returnable”, or bought during clearance/promotional events.
  • Products that show signs of use, wash, or alteration.
  • Items returned without original tags or packaging.
  • Returns initiated after 30 days of delivery.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Notify us within 72 hours of delivery at muslintales@gmail.com.
  • Share images or video clearly showing the issue.
    Once verified, we will arrange a free replacement or issue a full refund, including shipping costs.
